The Parish Council Liaison Chart shows which Parish Council (PC) members have been assigned to represent each of the church's ministries to the parish council. Please direct any questions regarding this chart to PC Vice President Brandon.
There are several opportunities for adult education at St. John: Theology 101 on Sunday mornings during Sunday School, Basics of Orthodoxy before and during the season of Great Lent, Tuesday morning Bible Studies and periodic classes focused on specific topics.
Provide parishioners with ongoing almsgiving opportunities and events, which focus on meeting the needs of our own as well as our neighbors in the greater community

A source for Orthodox Christian literature, gifts and sacramental supplies for the parish and greater Orthodox community. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10:30a-3:30p in addition to before Saturday Vespers and after Sunday Liturgies.
Prayerfully lead the congregation in worship with the reading and chanting of liturgical services, including baptisms and weddings; choir holds regular practices and assists the church in providing and maintaining liturgical books
Weekly rotation for clean-up after coffee hour
Offer comfort in the form of meals, visits, appropriate cards and prayers to anyone in need in our parish family, such as those who have a new baby, illness or death in the family or those who are not able to be out and about

Create a forum for men to get to know one another better, plan an annual retreat, and facilitate social gatherings for men and their families, such as Supper for Six

Create and oversee opportunities to share the Orthodox Faith with others and nurture spiritual growth within the parish

Elected each winter, members commit to a 2-yr term, serving on rotation on Sunday mornings and meeting monthly to prayerfully guide parish decision-making

Rotation of parishioners bake and offer bread for use in the Divine Liturgy. An annual baking workshop (check fall newsletter or November calendar for time/date) allows new members to learn the craft and experienced bakers to practice in a group setting.
Monthly gatherings to work on quilt for annual benevolence fund benefit and other projects for charity.
Periodic fellowship and spiritual discussion as well as connecting seniors with rides and visitation as needed
Works to fulfill the vision of the parish to build a Byzantine style temple by finding an appropriate site and inform and motivate the parish regarding this process.
Facilitates annual stewardship campaign, educates about the focus and themes of Christian Stewardship, sends quarterly statements and answers questions regarding stewardship.
Providing hopistality with snack and coffee after Sunday services
Volunteers act as Greeters on Sundays, welcoming guests, answering questions, providing materials to assist in participating in worship and learning more about the Faith and our parish

Youth & Family Ministry
This committee coordinates monthly gatherings for the various youth groups and a general plan for Family & Youth programs in the parish. Committee members include representatives from each of the youth groups below, clergy and a few parents-at-large.
